Privacy Policy

Ardency Academy and Matchmaking, operated by The Ardency Group, respects your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, and share personal information when you visit our website, purchase a product, subscribe to The Ardency Letter, contact us, or use our services.

Information we collect

We may collect information you choose to provide, including your name, email address, contact information, and the contents of your messages or inquiries.

If you book a call or participate in our services, we may also collect information you share about yourself, your relationship history, goals, and circumstances. Please use care when sending sensitive information through a general contact form or email.

When you purchase a product, we may collect the information needed to process your order and deliver it, such as your name, email address, billing details, and purchase history. Payment information is handled by our payment processor.

Our website and service providers may also collect technical information, such as your IP address, browser type, and information about how you use the site. Cookies and similar technologies may be used to support website functions.

How we use your information

We use personal information to:

  • Respond to your questions and communicate with you.
  • Schedule and provide the services you request.
  • Review information you provide for consulting and matchmaking services.
  • Process purchases and deliver digital products.
  • Send The Ardency Letter when you subscribe.
  • Maintain and improve our website and protect it from misuse.

We seek your consent where required and identify the purposes for collecting your information at or before the time of collection.

When you subscribe, we use your email address to send you The Ardency Letter and related updates. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in an email or by contacting us.

We use an email marketing service to manage our newsletter and subscriber list.

Sharing your information

We use service providers to help us operate Ardency Academy and Matchmaking. Depending on the service you use, these providers may handle information needed to host our website, process payments, manage purchases and deliver digital products, schedule appointments, collect form responses, store records, or send emails.

We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information when required by law or when otherwise permitted or authorized.

Some service providers may process or store information outside Canada, where it may be subject to the laws of those jurisdictions.

Matchmaking introductions and client profiles

After a club meetup, if both people express interest in being formally introduced, AAM may contact each person separately to request permission to share their profile. You will have an opportunity to review your profile before it is shared. Your personal contact details will only be shared with your permission.

Cookies

Our website and service providers may use cookies and similar technologies to support features such as the shopping cart, site security, and remembering preferences. You can manage cookies through your browser settings, although disabling some cookies may affect how the website works.

Website Cookies and Performance

Our website uses caching technology to temporarily store copies of pages and improve loading speed and performance.

How we protect and retain information

We use safeguards intended to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. No method of transmission or storage can guarantee absolute security.

We generally retain client intake information, profiles, and consulting notes for three years after our work with the client ends. This allows returning clients to update their information rather than start from scratch.

If you decide not to continue working with AAM, you may request that your client information be deleted sooner by emailing info@ardencyacademyandmatchmaking.com. We will review and respond to your request. Some information may need to be retained longer to meet legal or recordkeeping obligations.

After the applicable retention period, we take steps to securely delete, destroy, or anonymize the information. Financial and purchase records may be retained separately to meet applicable requirements.

Your choices and access

You may contact us to request access to or correction of your personal information, ask about our privacy practices, or withdraw consent where applicable. Withdrawing consent may affect our ability to provide certain services, and some information may need to be retained for legal or business purposes.
